Koeppen, June G. (Marriage - 27 Dec. 1952)
Miss June G. Koeppen, daughter of Mrs. Otto Koeppen of Colby,Wis., and Harvey Neuhaus, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Neuhaus of Colby, exchanged marriage vows in Zion Lutheran church in Colby Saturday, Dec. 27, Rev. O. Hoffmann officiating at the nuptial ceremony. Attending the bride were her sisters, Miss Wynota Koeppen as maid of honor and Mrs. Leon Zassenhaus as bridesmaid. The groom was attended by his brother, Harold Neuhaus of Plymouth as best man and Fred Zassenhaus, Jr., brother-in-law of the bride, as groomsman.
The bride was attired in a ballerina-length gown, the lace jacket styled with a Queen Anne collar. The skirt fell in alternating tiers of lace and net. Her Juliet cap with pearl trim secured her blusher veil. She carried white roses and a prayer book. Her attendants’ ballerina-length dresses were styled alike in deep red and green, respectively. The bodices were of velvet with net over taffeta skirts. They carried identical shower bouquets of white carnations and fern. Mrs. Koeppen wore a navy dress with black accessories. The groom’s mother wore a brown dress with dark green accessories. Both wore corsages of white carnations.
Dinner was served at 5:00 o’clock in the church parlors and a reception followed at the home of the bride’s mother. Guests attending the wedding were from Plymouth, Sheboygan Falls, School Hill, Cleveland, Abbotsford, Pewaukee, Athens and Colby, Wis.
